Why I Recommend Waiting Until Your Baby is 3-4 Weeks Old For Newborn Session

Newborn

Parents, there’s no rush to do your newborn session at home within the first two weeks of your baby’s life. In fact, I recommend waiting until week three or four. This allows moms time to recover from the delivery. It gives the baby and siblings have a minute to adjust to their new reality. Plus, everyone is a little more relaxed and ready to be in front of the camera. Your baby is still so tiny. When they are a little older, I usually get a few images with their innocent eyes looking up at you!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣This newborn session at home in Forth Worth, TX is a great example. This little guy was a month old at the time of the session. I captured a lot of sweet interactions between the family. I was also still able to get him swaddled and asleep later in the session for solo shots.

Interested in a newborn session at home? I offer a maternity + newborn session. Plus, each session comes with an heirloom album that is a great keepsake to pass on to your child.
