This spring, shooting film has has been very interesting. Film stocks are in short supply and sell out in minutes once retailers restock. Some retailers will are limiting the quantity you can buy per purchase. It’s been frustrating trying to come across my favorite stock, Porta 400. I have alerts set on my phone and by the time I go online, they are sold out. And if I am lucky enough to get a roll, it’s expensive. I have experimented with more stocks this spring as a result of the shortage. Portra 400 is still my favorite, but it’s been good to experiment and see different results.
Some of my adventures this time include MayFest, my daughter’s first dance photos, Inspiration Alley in Fort Worth, Easter, my first roll of pushed Black & White film, double exposures, spring blooming, the first sprinkler run of the season, self portraits and life with my family.
