What do you want to remember about this phase as a family? It’s a question I’ve been asking families before a session and I’ve loved the insight it has given me.

This mom shared how special their home was to them as a family, so I kept that in mind during the session. I was glad we were able to get outside at the end for several great shots with their house as the backdrop to their family. This was also the first photographer’s family I documented. I was very nervous ahead of time and waiting for their scans to come in with the results felt torturous. I breathed a deep sigh of relief when I sent their gallery and heard back that they loved the photos!
