As a Fort Worth newborn photographer, Everett’s newborn photo session was a perfect example of why maternity photos are a great way to build a relationship with your newborn photographer.

Everett’s maternity session was a beautiful journey, capturing the precious moments leading up to their son’s arrival. I’m so thrilled to share their next chapter: Everett’s newborn photos!

Having photographed their maternity session, it was a seamless experience capturing Everett as a newborn. Building a comfortable relationship with parents during both sessions not only helps create a relaxed environment, but it also helps me capture personal and heartfelt images.

For their newborn photos we decided to switch it up from the studio we used for the maternity session and opted for an in-home shoot. The change of scenery allowed us to capture the first of many memories to come with their new baby at home. As a Fort Worth newborn photographer, at-home newborn shoots are some of my favorites!

Everett’s parents chose to wait until he was about 8 weeks old, which is a bit later than the typical 3-4 weeks for newborn photos. This timing was perfect for capturing more of his growing personality, including his swoon-worthy smiles. We were still able to soothe him to sleep and capture sleepy baby photos and his tiny fingers and toes.

The excitement and love felt during Everett’s mom’s maternity session were mirrored in Everett’s newborn photos. It has been an honor to capture these milestones in their lives, and I’m so glad to be a part of their journey!
