Did you know in addition to maternity, newborn and family photo sessions I also offer milestone sessions for all the special memories in between?

From capturing the excitement of expecting parents to sleepy newborn smiles to holiday card family sessions, it’s no secret that photographing families throughout all stages of life is my favorite thing to do.

I know what you’re thinking… “But Meredith, milestone sessions are for baby’s first birthday!”

You’re right! Milestone sessions are a great way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday AND they’re great for so many other important moments, too!

Photographing baby’s first milestones

Think about it this way, there are SO MANY milestones in the first 2 years of your baby’s life. From sitting up around 6 months, to their first tooth and then their first steps, there are several big moments you’re going to want to celebrate and savor. Milestone sessions are the perfect way to capture this moment in time for you to look back on together.

While we may not be able to schedule a session to actually capture your baby’s first steps, I am absolutely sure that we can book a session in those beginning phases of your child learning to walk and toddle around the room. Before you know it you’ll find yourself snapping photos of them sprinting on the track or shooting the game winning goal for their high school sports teams and you’ll want photos to look back on.

Photographing dress up costumes, favorite toys and more

Our children grow and go through different phases of childhood so quickly that as parents it feels like we can’t keep up! I’ve had several clients email me and tell me all about how their daughter LOVES to dress up and we have to capture it with a milestone session, or that their baby is enthralled by a certain stuffed animal and they want photos to put in their baby book.

I’m always excited when clients approach me with ideas like these. Not only does it help me get to know them and share that excitement with them, but I also love planning these sessions and seeing the joy on their faces when they see the final product.
